PEAR SHAPE DIAMOND

Pear Shape, or “Teardrop”, diamonds emerged as a new brilliant cut in 15th century Belgium. The cut combines the traditional beauty of a Brilliant Round diamond with the sharp elegance of a Marquise Cut, but stands stylishly apart from both. One of the most well-known modern diamonds, the Taylor-Burton diamond, is a Pear Shape, and was famously worn by Elizabeth Taylor.
